Vigia AG joins hands with Healthy Choice Farm to support the technological development of hemp and cannabis cooperatives in Thailand through the Cannavigia software.
On 1st February 2022, Vigia AG and Healthy Choice Farm Co., Ltd signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to support the technological development of hemp and cannabis cooperatives in Thailand through the Cannavigia software.
Healthy Choice Farm was founded in 2020 by Dr. Praiboon Naksen. The company grows and trades in organic agricultural products, which now includes hemp flower to meet the growing demand of extraction companies. Healthy Choice Farm has licenses to cultivate, possess (including transportation), and distribute seeds, seedlings, and hemp flower. Furthermore, it acts as a channel for farmers to bring their harvest to the market.
The main objectives of Vigia’s collaboration with Healthy Choice Farm are as follows:
- Work together to support the technological development of hemp and cannabis cooperatives in Thailand and ensure their transparency.
- Support Healthy Choice Farm with the development of any other technological aspects linked to hemp/cannabis cultivation.
- Cooperate to source and develop strains and genetics that are suitable to the growing conditions in Thailand, with the aim of achieving better yields for local farmers and higher quality products for end consumers.
The signing of this MoU marks Vigia’s first entry into Thailand, with the objective of facilitating compliance and transparency for all stakeholders in this new market. Further collaboration with Thai university institutions is expected as part of a separate MoU to support education and research on hemp/cannabis.
