Hello friends of CannaVigilance,

In the meantime, the world keeps on turning and things keep on happening, which is the reason you are reading this. So, just keep on reading.

  • South Africa’s AmaMpondo King, aseNyandeni Ndlovuyezwe Ndamase has urged his subjects to protect their prime asset, cannabis, from being hijacked by big pharmaceutical organisations and international investors. His voice joins a chorus of domestic legacy growers who are speaking out about the “new colonisation”.
  • Bank of America, the National Rifle Association, and Mastercard are among the entities that are currently lobbying on the USA’s cannabis banking act. The bill aims to ease access to banking services for marijuana businesses.
  • Germany’s Cannabis Act took another important step forward last week after the first parliamentary debate was held in the Bundestag. The debate saw members of the Traffic Light Coalition show a great deal of unity and demonstrate their intention to push the bill through.
