Behind every successful company is a motivated team with people that are sitting together in the trenches and bringing out vision further one day at a time. We are happy and proud to share more about the creatives, the tech team and the general ecosystem of people that have brought CANNAVIGIA to where it is today.
Today we proudly present you our CTO Pelle Boese.
Pelle is a veteran of web development. His native languages are PHP and SQL, among many others. His passion is building scalable, high-performance web applications. He started programming at the age of 12. After “studying” computer science at the University of Kassel for an extremely short time, he started as a freelance developer and successfully implemented numerous projects in the web sector. He then took on various roles as consultant and CTO and founded several companies. His hobbies are cooking, sofas and sarcasm. He also describes himself as annoyingly political.
Pelle, what do you do at Cannavigia?
As the CTO, I take care of everything concerning tech at Cannavigia, from leading our development teams to making decisions about the technologies we’re using. Another important role of mine is to translate tech to “normal people’s language” and vice versa.
What is your favorite feature of the software and why?
My favourite features are more in the background, like for example the way our audit trail works or our blockchain verified backup system. I can’t really pick only one, it’s more the whole system and how everything works together.
WHAT IS THE MOST EXCITING DEVELOPMENT THAT YOU WENT WHAT IS THE MOST EXCITING DEVELOPMENT THAT YOU WERE PART OF SINCE YOU JOINED THE TEAM?
The development of the whole Cannavigia software from scratch.
WHERE DO YOU SEE THE CANNABIS INDUSTRY GOING AND WHY DO YOU THINK TRANSPARENCY AND COMPLIANCE HAS A JUSTIFIED PLACE IN IT?
Like most younger industries, cannabis will become more and more professional, especially when it comes to legal and compliance. From the technical point of view I hope to see more companies using new technologies like IoT devices, connected scales or satellite imagery to improve both, their yield and compliance.
What do you like to do for fun?
I love snowboarding and mountain-biking, but since I live in Berlin, a small town in Germany without any mountains, I usually spend time with my family and friends. I also play, build and modify guitars for fun and have various roles in a popular satirical party. Oh, and I like wine.
